Description

Uber Cool RHD example of the rugged military 4x4, offered in fine mechanical health - cooler than a Defender?

It is powered by a 2.4-litre inline-four, which sends 71bhp and 101lb ft of torque to all four wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with locking differentials and selectable low-range gearing for enhanced off-road performance.

The odometer currently displays 230 kilometres, however the true mileage is not known for sure

This Mercedes-Benz G240 ‘Wolf’ spent most of its life in Singapore, where it is reported to have been used by the military, before recently being imported into the UK earlier this year

UK registered with V5 present and MOT, certificate from Mercedes-Benz Cars UK Ltd verifying the truck etc.

This W461-generation G240 is finished in Military Green, with a new matching vinyl soft top roof (removable) over a body-coloured interior featuring brown vinyl-trimmed seats.

Has two extra rear inward facing seats and a security box for leaving posessions in when leaving the truck outside with the roof off.

It rides on a set of 16-inch steel wheels shod in Michelin off-road tyres.

The vehicle has been fitted with an ammeter and voltmeter atop the dashboard.

The Military Green paintwork is in generally very good condition, showing light minor wear and scuffs, which are in line with the vehicle’s military use.

Inside, the cabin presents well with time-earned ‘patina’ on the dashboard and controls.

There are no known electrical or mechanical faults with the vehicle, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. The truck is fitted with a battery isolator for simple storage.

This Mercedes-Benz G240 ‘Wolf’ is an ex-Singapore military example of the reliable and robust off-road vehicle, which would make an ideal 4x4 for utility purposes or for fun top-down road trips in the warmer months. The ‘Geländewagen’ is a highly capable off-roader which spawned the modern day G-Wagon, it is unquestionably a design that has stood the test of time.
